Wat een super stoel. Een betere simrace ervaring heb ik nog niet gehad. Zit fantastisch en je voelt alsof je achter het stuur in de auto zit. Enige wat ontbreekt zijn de G-krachten op je lichaam bij accelleratie, remmen en bochten. Maar daarvoor moet je echt gaan racen. Na vele jaren recent eindelijk de jeugddroom vervuld door middagje op zandvoort te racen. Uit aangewakkerd enthousiame deze playseat gekocht en ik moet zeggen dat de zithouding en gehele indruk perfect overeenkomt met die in een auto die voor racen geprepareerd is (stoelen, kooi). De bevestiging voor TV werkt prima, maat Vesa 200x200. Voor afwijkende maten (veel grotere tv's hebben Vesa 400x400 bevestiging) zijn adapters op de markt. Opmerkelijk genoeg is de verkrijgbaarheid bij de bekende electronica zaken slecht maar via bol.com dezelfde dag nog bij AH afhaalpunt beschikbaar. Voor een setup met enkele TV kan ik een curved scherm aanraden, de iets meer gelijke afstand tot scherm is prettig bij de relatief korte afstand tussen stoel en scherm. Nonetheless, this chair is built like a TANK!! It has allowed me to keep in the top-levels of Global Online Racers with a SOLID fixed platform. It was a big upgrade for me and it has contributed to my online experience. I love the attention to detail!!

Na een bezoek aan de winkel in Amsterdam heb ik nog net voor 18:00 uur de stoel op vrijdag kunnen bestellen via de site, want deze was niet op voorraad in de winkel. De volgende dag werd de stoel geleverd en heb ik de stoel vrij makkelijk en snel in elkaar kunnen zetten, al is het mij niet gelukt in de beschreven 10 minuten. In de doos zijn diverse onderdelen al in elkaar gezet en moest ik alleen de grote blokken aan elkaar schroeven.Algemeen Prijs / Kwaliteit Comfort Vormgeving Fun
Nadat alle onderdelen aan elkaar zaten ben ik vooral bezig geweest met het aansluiten van het stuur en pedalen (Thrustmaster T300 RS GT) en het instellen van de stoelhoogte zodat die voor mij lekker zit. In de handleiding staat wel beschreven hoe je de stoel kan stellen, wat vrij makkelijk is, maar niet dat je het stuur (of de plaat waar het stuur aan zit) ook kan verstellen naar achteren. Met die optie kan je namelijk de afstanden tussen stuur en pedalen en stoel heel precies afstellen wat het comfort nog beter maakt.
Het racen met deze stoel is echt genieten. In combinatie met een 50" TV, die ik aan de bijbehorende beugels van de stoel heb bevestigd, zit je er echt helemaal "in"!
Pluspunten voor mij zijn:
- makkelijk in elkaar te zetten
- verstellen van stoelafstand en stuurhoogte met hendeltjes
- zitcomfort
- extreem robuust uiterlijk en gevoel
Minpuntje voor mij is:
- sommige verstelbare opties (die je met het verstellen van schroeven kan doen) ontbreken in handleiding. -

Van een stuurtje naar een sensation pro, wat een top verbetering! Je nestelt je in een ware racestoel, start je favoriete race game en je bent de wereld om je heen vergeten. Door deze mooie stoel en de afstand tot het scherm ga je helemaal op in je game! Super fijn dat je de stoel kan verstellen, heel fijn bij het “in en uitstappen”. De stoel is gemakkelijk in elkaar te zetten en als hij voorzien is van een stuur, pedalen en een scherm is het een echte eyecatcher!! Als twijfelt, niet doen! Ik kreeg de informatie die ik nodig had en dat na de openingsuren. De stoel is echt geweldig en is een enorme meerwaarde aan de spelervaring. Deze stoel geeft je het gevoel alsof je in een echte racewagen zit. Deze is zo verstelbaar dat iedereen van klein naar groot als gegoten in de stoel past. I wanted to get something sturdy and sturdy this is! In my opinion, the worst thing that you can have in a sim is the physical world taking away from the digital experience. There is a teeny bit downward flex where the wheel attaches but the fanatec wheel that I'm using is a heavy beast; and I've never noticed it while playing but only when I'm critiquing it. I paired it with fanatec's reverse pedals - and the seat seems perfect for it.
My tv is 50" - too big to be mounted on the rig - it would end up being too close. My only real problem is that seat is too slouched for extended use.....I ended up solving it with two cushions.
The wheel bar moves up/down for tilt - I love it! The alcantara on the seat is just lovely.

I received the product in good order a couple of days after ordering it (actually faster than was promised). Assembly was straight forward and took about two hours. It could be done only with the hex keys that were provided with the kit though I would recommend having a rubber mallet around to speed things up in some steps. On my first configuration I am using an older Logitech GT keyboard and pedal set along with an older Sony monitor. The pedals have no provision for mounting so, until I replace them I simply set aside the Playseat pedal box. The Logitech steering wheel base with integral gear shift is a bit wide for the Playseat steering mount plate so I found that adding a small piece of wood shelving on top of the steering plate was all that was required to get the wheel level. As for the TV ... a problem unique to Sony (unrelated to Playseat) is the unique mounting hold configuration (I have had this same problem mounting Sony flat panels in wall installations). This can be addressed by just bolting on some brackets across the back of the TV and then drilling some holes in the brackets to match the brackets included in the Playseat. I don't think this would be an issue with other brands of monitor.
Overall experience in use is very good, The unit is very solid and easy to adjust. Seat is snug but comfortable for a large driver (I'm 193cm and 125kg ... I would say that this should be the weight limit). I would definitely recommend the product and am looking forward to a lot of driving in the future. -

The Sensation pro is a very comfortable seat. It makes it feel like your in a real race car. It is extremely sturdy and very well made. It has tilt steering! And it's hydraulically assisted as well as the seat adjustment. I had to purchase a TV mount since the brackets were not VESA, a $29 item at Lowes. I went with Thrustmaster T300 servo with the pro pedals with load cell and the shifter. Everything mounted perfectly. The only thing I can say about the instructions is that they are pretty poor. The unit comes with a bunch of bolts all different lengths and doesn't state what length bolt goes where. They should include a true scale picture of the bolts being used at the certain step in the instructions. My one TV mount was missing a welded nut in which case the company was quick to send a replacement even though it was used and scratched up a bit. The seat is very good quality and comfortable. So... this chair costs a lot BUT I can honestly say it's the best thing I have EVER raced in! I got the chance to test the Sensation Pro at an event and it convinced me immediatly. It's very sturdy, yet comfortable enough to race multiple hours (which I do quite often). The alcantara feels great and is a nice touch to this racing monster. The only downside would be the amount of space it needs. You don't want this thing in your living room, so you will need a racing room, but if you are willing to spend this much money, you probably already have a seperate room for racing.
